Why I Love Turku
You know that feeling when a place just clicks with you, like you’ve known it forever? That's Turku for me. The first time I strolled along the Aura River, with the sun dipping low, casting a warm glow on medieval buildings, something shifted. There's a cozy buzz to this Finnish city — a mix of history, vibrant youthfulness, and truly epic Scandinavian charm. I’ll never forget the taste of fresh salmon by the harbor or the laughter echoing from students at the city square. Turku feels like a hidden gem, constantly whispering its secrets to those who take the time to listen.

Getting There
To get to Turku, you’ll probably fly into Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, as it’s the most connected for international flights. From there, you can hop on a train or even a quick domestic flight with Finnair to reach Turku, which takes about 30 minutes. If you're coming from London or New York, expect around a three-hour flight to Helsinki, then the connection. For travelers from Dubai, it's roughly six hours to Helsinki. Non-EU residents generally need a Schengen visa, so plan ahead!
